I like Jim Sturgess and he did a great job, but agree that it was good, not great.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02024159316185988949noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11999615.post-10922237537255783582008-09-12T18:16:00.000-07:002008-09-12T18:16:00.000-07:00Oh, Maria, the Creepertons are festival institutio...Oh, Maria, the Creepertons are festival institutions... it's just that we only now gave them a name. The guy you're describing would definitely be one! And thanks for liking the entry!

Nicole, I'm not surprised to hear 50 Dead Men... was meh. When I saw that it co-starred Kevin Zegers, it was like my hopes for a great movie evaporated. Sort of like casting, I dunno, Zac Efron.Vickiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13827246920952240232noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11999615.post-81546657606799970462008-09-12T18:00:00.000-07:002008-09-12T18:00:00.000-07:00You didn't miss anything by skipping 50 Dead Men W...You didn't miss anything by skipping 50 Dead Men Walking. It was pretty mediocre and I've seen better films about the IRA.

I didn't mind the Brothers Bloom, I wouldn't say it was the best one I've seen, but it was funny at times and didn't bore me, so I couldn't place it in the bad movie column. I suspect people didn't like the ending.Nicolehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11317568565085893849noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11999615.post-87582853455489795752008-09-12T15:28:00.000-07:002008-09-12T15:28:00.000-07:00I would like to hear more about the "Creepertons' ...I would like to hear more about the "Creepertons' that Eric and Dan encountered because there was one who was at Visa and Gala screenings and he was just so annoyingly ....creepy. He was stalking a couple of volunteers who seemed to have ticket upgrades and kept asking if we were selling our tickets. Why in the hell would he need four tickets to one show when he was going alone????? He was one of the creepiest I've encountered yet.

Love this write up!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02024159316185988949noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11999615.post-72445695243641598492008-09-12T04:02:00.000-07:002008-09-12T04:02:00.000-07:00Oh, yes, the volunteers are giant magnets for the ...Oh, yes, the volunteers are giant magnets for the Creepertons, especially if you're stationed on a line. I've felt bad for a many a Creeperton-cornered volunteer who's forced to stand for far too long with someone freaky. Yikes.

As for the Douchettes, they ignore us all. They tend to stick with their own kind.Vickiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13827246920952240232noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11999615.post-24946582897812966742008-09-11T20:41:00.000-07:002008-09-11T20:41:00.000-07:00The volunteers are ignored by the "Douchettes" (ex...The volunteers are ignored by the "Douchettes" (except when we're in the way) but are sitting ducks for the "Creepertons". I've had to rescue a few colleagues with fake emergencies, lock-and-loads, etc.

Glad the same day tix worked out for you. Now if only there was a way to use your vouchers online, so you wouldn't have had to get dressed and come downtown...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
