I'd watch her watching a balloon for two hours! Somehow I've managed to not see any movies by Hsiao-Hsien Hou, but I sure know that SIFF basically wets themselves when they get to show one of his films.<BR/><BR/>I assume that <I>La Voyage du Ballon Rouge</I> is probably conscious somehow of that classic children's movie <A HREF="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ic8XzBJzsEE" REL="nofollow"><I>The Red Balloon</I></A> that every schoolkid in the 70s got to watch on a rickety projector.<BR/><BR/>For another take on a red balloon, there is this classic of another kind: the animated film <A HREF="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P76sx1W71Kw" REL="nofollow"><I>Billy's Balloon</I></A>, which has a friend of mine in tears of laughter at a Spike and Mike fest.Lindahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06738949094361039874noreply@blogger.com
